If you are interested in collaborative group activities and learning in your classroom, then you’ll definitely want to teach your students ‘accountable talk’! Accountable Talk are a series of give and take sentence stems that teach students how to properly converse with one another in an educational setting. Students (and teachers when modeling) use these sentence stems to help formulate their thoughts and opinions about what is happening in the current discussion. They can be used in any grade level (that can read the stems of course) and in any subject area!
In this resource, there are 11 posters and a bookmark (using the same stems) included.
