Need something interesting and fun during March to help with context clues? Here you go! Teach your students how to Talk Like a Leprechaun while decoding and using context clues to determine the meaning of words that Leprechauns use!
This activity can be used in a variety of ways: small group, center, whole group, etc.
Students will read cards with sentences. In each sentence is a word used by leprechauns. Students then use context clues from the sentences to help figure out the meaning of the ‘leprechaun’ word.
A recording sheet and answer key are both included as well as a context clues anchor chart poster. 10 cards in all are included in the activity.
