Description
Are you tapped out of ideas on how to teach Asking Questions to your students? Make it fun, easy, and interactive with this WEEK long set of activities, both print and digital included!! This resource includes 5 days worth of lesson plans and activities, graphic organizer, craftivity, centers & more! Take a look at the preview for more details!
Lesson 1: Students become familiar with asking questions by understanding where and how questions can be asked in a given text.
Lesson 2: Students analyze question types and determine which type of questions are being asked: clarifying, reviewing, or extending questions. Students will read the questions and sort them accordingly.
Lesson 3: Students learn that not every question is a strong question. Here, students will read questions based on a given text and rank them by color-coding the questions.
Lesson 4: In this lesson, students are practicing asking questions by being told when to stop and ask. This helps to create the habit of asking questions throughout a given text.
Lesson 5: In the final lesson, students get to truly show off their asking question skills by reading a given text, asking all three types of questions, and supporting them by highlighting evidence in the text to support where the question was asked.
All activities are more hands-on than normal ‘worksheets’. Direction pages and real photographs are also included! A graphic organizer, bookmark, anchor chart, craftivity, & center are all also included!
