Are you tapped out of ideas on how to teach problem & solution to your students? Make it fun, easy, and interactive with this WEEK long set of activities (print and digital included)! This resource includes 5 days worth of lesson plans and activities, graphic organizer, craftivity, centers & more! Take a look at the preview for more details!
Digital components can be used in Google Classroom, Google Slides, and PowerPoint.
Lesson 1: Students are becoming exposed to the vocabulary and terminology that corresponds with problem and solution. Students are organizing simple sentences, not stories, and organizing them according to problem, solution, and steps to solution.
Lesson 2: Students analyze a story and color code the text based on where they find the problem, solution, and steps to the solution using the color coding key at the top of the paper.
Lesson 3: Students evaluate a mixed up text and determine what the story pieces include – problem/solution/steps and then where do those story pieces below (B/M/E/).
Lesson 4: Students will create a sentence strip with problem and solution cards and a given text. Students will be writing out the problem, solution, and the steps to the solution independently for the first time.
Lesson 5: Students get to apply their knowledge of problem and solution by choosing two problem and solution pictures and then creating a story using those images as their inspiration.
All activities are more hands on than normal ‘worksheets’. Direction pages and real photographs are also included! A graphic organizer, bookmark, anchor chart, craftivity, & center are all also included!
